Tony moved into Executive Search and Career Consultancy in 2007 following over 25 years in FD/CFO and Controller positions in a range of national and international companies, latterly as an interim manager involved in turnaround, change management, transformation and start-up/early stage projects. The Transpire service has been developed to fill a perceived gap in the market for a fully integrated service of coaching, training and networking in the fragmented NED market.
Operates from London and Bristol, UK developing and delivering NED workshops and networking events , 1:1 executive coaching, portfolio CV development .
Tony has an Economics degree from Bristol University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Sir Charles Montgomery has enjoyed a distinguished career in the Royal Navy, holding a variety of sea-going and land-based roles, including Naval Secretary and Chief of Staff (Personnel), Head of the Maritime Warfare School and command of a major warship, culminating in the role of Vice Admiral - Second Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Personnel and Training.
Sir Charles served as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Greenwich Hospital between 2010 and 2012.
He was awarded KBE in the 2012 Queen’s birthday honours list and joined UK Border Force as Director General in March 2013.
Sir Charles joined the Royal Navy through BRNC Dartmouth in 1973, spending his first three years in service at Sheffield University, gaining an honours degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
