The Risk Coalition is a network of not-for-profit professional bodies and membership organisations committed to raising the standards of risk management in the UK. The Risk Coalition launched the Risk Guidance Initiative in 2018 to meet the need for coherent, principles-based good practice guidance for board risk committees and risk functions within the UK financial services sector. The outcome of this work is Raising The Bar, published in December 2019.
He is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee at the London Institute of Banking and Finance. Hanif was also Chair of St Christopher’s Fellowship, a leading specialist charity for children and young people in care and on the edge of care. He was previously also a member of the Audit & Risk Committee at City, University of London. These pro-bono roles have given him practical experience of dealing with ‘live’ governance issues and have helped him ensure the advice he gives his clients is practical and fit-for-purpose.
He is also an Honorary Visiting Fellow and visiting lecturer on corporate governance at Cass Business School and is a member of the Working Group of the Financial Reporting Council’s Audit & Assurance Lab.
